Description
She’s worked alongside artists like Lenny Kravitz, Stevie Wonder and John Mayer in a whirlwind of success, and yet still has her heart set in working alongside charities. Her latest album The Element of Freedom was recorded in a three-storey house in Long Island turned into a studio.
Her love of piano carries on in this album, reiterating the singer’s style for jazz, soul and R&B. ‘Try Sleeping with a Broken Heart’s R&B beat keeps her lyrics of loss within a free and dreamy sound. Mix that with ‘Doesn’t Mean Anything’, a piano piece with Keys singing her heart out about loneliness without the one you love, and you have an album that will speak to the core of all who are trying to move on.

My favorites are Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart, Doesn't Mean Anything & Un-Thinkable but the album as a whole is just great! I do listen to alot of Urban music my friends hate but they like Alicia! So it appeals to alot of different people! Go GET it!

Comments about SBME/J RECORDS ALICIA KEYS - Element of Freedom:
Cannot speak any higher of Alicia Keys. She writes all of her own material, she is an exceptional pianist, her vocals are arguably the best in the world today and above all, she remains the classiest and most elegant woman in the business! This album (Keys Fourth effort) may indeed lack the smash anthem hit such as 'Fallin', 'If I Aint Got You' and 'No One' but the 'Element of Freedom' is quite possibly Keys best all round album. Her lyrics are great, voice is amazing and she experiments with a percussion sound intertwined with her usual piano on many songs, none more so then on hit single 'Try Sleeping With a Broken Heart.' Amazing album from an amazing artist. Gets no where near the credit she deserves here in Australia. By the way, all this coming from a 20 year old, straight male. Imagaine what her actual targeted demographic think of this album haha! *Highly Recommended*

Comments about SBME/J RECORDS ALICIA KEYS - Element of Freedom:
Element of freedom is a great album, Alicia's voice changes according to the mood of the songs. I love tracks 12 distance and time, 13 how it feels to fly which ends with a gospel choir, and 14 empire state of mind, much better than the single version with j z. enjoy it!

I love this album. I'm not usually a huge R&B fan, but I think Alicia Keys is amazing. Her talent as a musician makes her accessible to everyone. My fave on this album is 'Try Sleeping with a Broken Heart'.

Comments about SBME/J RECORDS ALICIA KEYS - Element of Freedom:
Alicia has stepped up a bit with this album, holdig onto her signature piano soul sound but adding a new sense of fun and creativity to some more urban and upbeat sounds. Very positive message throughout - a great album and arguably her best album.
